Privacy notice
What we do with what you give us on the early access form, how long we keep it, and your rights.
Last updated: 1 August 2026. This notice describes how RUNWITH handles personal data under Türkiye's Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK, Law No. 6698). The Turkish text is the operative version.
1. Data controller

2. What we collect
Through the early access (waitlist) form:
- Your name.
- Your email address.
- Whether you are a runner or a club organiser.
- Your province and district, and optionally your neighbourhood.
- If you are a club organiser: your club's name, and the Instagram handle we already hold for it if it matches our list.
- Your preferred language.
Automatically recorded at the moment of submission:
- Your IP address.
- Your browser user agent.
- The link you arrived from: the referrer, and the campaign tag on it if there is one.
We collect nothing else. We do not request location permission and we do not collect addresses. The site sets no cookies, tracks no visitors and runs no analytics.
3. Why we process it
- To notify you when RUNWITH launches in your city.
- To decide which districts to prioritise.
- To measure which of our outreach efforts worked.
We do not sell your data, share it with third parties for advertising, or profile you.
4. Lawful basis
Processing relies on your explicit consent under Article 5 of the KVKK. You may withdraw consent at any time, and your record will be deleted without delay.
5. Transfer outside Türkiye
Your record is stored on Netlify infrastructure (United States). The site itself is served and the form request processed through Netlify infrastructure [Netlify function region: to be confirmed]. In both cases your data is transferred to servers outside Türkiye. Under Article 9 of the KVKK this transfer requires your separate explicit consent, presented as its own checkbox on the form. Without it we cannot accept your sign-up.
6. Retention
We keep your record for at most 6 months after the app launches in your city, and in any case no longer than 2 years. We delete it when the period expires or the purpose ends. You may ask us to delete it sooner, and we do so as soon as the request reaches us.
7. Commercial email
We email you only about early access, within the permission you gave. Every message carries a one click unsubscribe. Before any commercial electronic message is sent, permissions are registered with Türkiye's Message Management System (İYS).
8. Your rights
Under Article 11 of the KVKK you have the right to:
- Learn whether your personal data is processed, and request information about it.
- Learn the purpose of processing and whether it is used accordingly.
- Know the third parties to whom data is transferred, in Türkiye or abroad.
- Request correction of incomplete or inaccurate data.
- Request erasure or destruction.
- Object to a result produced solely by automated analysis.
- Claim compensation for damages caused by unlawful processing.
Send requests to alp.sisman@gmail.com. We respond within 30 days. On a deletion request the identifiers in your record are actually destroyed; only the district level totals remain.

This notice may be updated. The current version is always published on this page with the date above.
